LEXINGTON, Ky. ? Bernisha Pinkett had 13 points off the bench for No. 14 Kentucky in a 90-51 rout of Mississippi Valley State on Sunday.
A'dia Mathies and Bria Goss also scored 13 points for the Wildcats (7-0), who set a blistering pace early. They scored the game's first 10 points in a three-minute span before even allowing Mississippi Valley State (1-4) a field-goal attempt. Kentucky gradually built its lead before a 14-0 stretch late in the first half put it out of reach.
After Kentucky's poor shooting effort Friday against Sam Houston State, Kentucky coach Matthew Mitchell said making his offense more efficient was a priority heading into their Dec. 4 game against No. 11 Louisville, and it showed Sunday. The Wildcats shot 46.2 percent, their best since shooting 51.5 percent in their season opener against Morehead State.
Brittney Lakes finished with 18 points for the Devilettes.
